Jamie works to lead, and leads others to achieve greater works for themselves - he aims to inspire people to reach beyond their perceptions of limitations. Jamie can't help it - it's just the way he lives his own life.
As an athlete, Jamie is sponsored by Mizuno Australia and he has completed over 100 Ultra Marathons in excess of 100km
Jamie himself is is a multi-Guinness World Record holder in a number of Endurance based events. He is also the author of three books, and the founder of Wairua Spirit, a documentary project and 10 year artefact exploring the intangible drivers of the human experience.
Through his philanthropic works, Jamie has raised over $150,000 for Dementia Australia over 12 years. Jamie is also a sought-after public speaker and he regularly releases relevant and community-building podcast episodes through Spotify. Jamie is also a Dementia QLD and Memory Walk and Jog Ambassador, with a close to two decades dedicated to the development of other human beings physical and mental attributes and performance.
Jamie also contributes a monthly column in the local Sunshine Coast paper, The Hinterland Times.
History
Jamie was a qualified practising Personal Trainer In 2003 after serving seven and a half years in the Royal New Zealand Navy. During his time in the New Zealand Navy at the ripe old age of 37 Jamie also completed the S.A.S. Direct Entry selection course.
After his Navy service, he transitioned to operating as a Strength and Conditioning Coach in Cairns, Australia in 2004.
With an initial Business partnership in Auckland CBD in New Zealand with CrossFit Kia Kaha in 2012, a "bricks and mortar" company, Jamie realised the CrossFit method on its own merits was not delivering the results he was looking for.
Jamie founded JMT in 2014 in Kuwait U.A.E. where Jamie was a sole contractor to the Kuwaiti Royal Family Ghada and Imad Al’saba.
After a 12 month contract completion he relocated JMT to the Sunshine Coast and officially opened the first Jamie Milne Training facility and community in Warana in August 2015.
